Hello & Welcome!

Hi, I’m Megan. Thanks for visiting to learn more about Refined Radiance! I’m the founder and owner of Refined Radiance. I wear lots of hats in my day to day life and RR was something that started from a passion in skin health and rejuvenation. I’m a wife, to a wonderful and supportive husband, and blessed to be the mom of two sweet, energetic kiddos!! These 3 people are my world and I’m so thankful for them everyday!

Little background—I have worked in healthcare for well over 15 years and have been practicing as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2013. Some of my experience in healthcare includes working bedside in the hospital, starting as patient care tech in nursing school. After graduation and becoming a Registered Nurse I worked in the Intensive Care Unit, on a cardiac floor then as a Labor & Delivery nurse where I had the most amazing role of helping welcome new life into the world. I truly learned so much in all of these areas and so many wonderful mentors and experiences along the way and I’m forever grateful. More recently I have worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a primary care office and worked a few years in the Urgent care setting as an NP also. I feel drawn to help people and thankful for this diverse profession that has allowed me many opportunities to serve people in different ways.

I love establishing a rapport and building a trusted relationship with my patients—without a doubt in todays healthcare system I find myself sometimes struggling to fully be able to fill this desire in traditional healthcare settings, especially with the pressures on high volume of patients and more extensive illnesses to manage in the primary care roles.

Refined Radiance was created in 2020 after a growing passion for skin health, preventative care and skin rejuvenation that was sparked by my own skin struggles including but not limited to hyperpigmentation, melasma, sun damage, fine lines, dryness and rosacea! All these issues seemed to hit like a sledge hammer all at once and lead me to feel like I was looking more tired and aged than anyone desires—and ultimately took a tole on my confidence. Shortly after having my first child, my face went through a transformation, and lets just say it was not in the positive direction. Lack of confidence building, feeling defeated and lack of reliable resources lead me to this journey. I was at a loss on how to help improve my skin despite many years of medical/professional education. Here sparks the fire to find a tangible solution to help myself, along with others like me to find a solution. I wanted to the results and drawn to the science and research behind the products to align. In the determined search to figure out a way to rejuvenate my skin I discovered lots of useful information and I love educating about the products and skin health.

As you are most likely aware there are so many products in the market and every influencer and marketer is promoting multiple different ones, it can feel VERY overwhelming!! So here is the ultimate bottom line— skin health mostly comes from consistency… (wearing daily spf, anti-oxidant, daily retinol, hydration) and also the use of high quality effective products is very beneficial. Determining that high quality, medical grade skin care is worth the investment was BIG. After trying many things, and using my medical education and resources— Refined Radiance is excited to carry an amazing professional product line, SkinBetter Science. The goal we have at RR is to provide the highest quality, most effective products and treatments to others—and trust me; I 100% stand behind these products and it is an investment. I started off with my immediate group of family and friends and I promise I would not be recommending these if I didn’t believe they were worth it. I would not be able to stand behind something that I didn’t fully support; way to many loved ones in my life using these products that have changed there skin in a positive way and helped so many regain confidence!!

Like so many women, I am constantly juggling the demands of the multiple roles—Full Time job-as a Nurse Practitioner, Small Business Owner, Daughter, Sister, Friend & my most important and favorite roles being a Wife and Mommy!! They are my 3 “whys”! Not that it is any surprise but spoiler alert: I don’t have it all together, and sometimes I ask myself why I try and do so much, but I know why….it is because I’m passionate about all of these roles—they all fill my cup in different ways!! Plus my goodness— I have the most amazing and supportive people surrounding me and cheering me on along the way!!

I’m so grateful for all my current and upcoming Refined Radiance Clients—I am proud of this little business and love helping people feel healthier, happier and more confident in their own skin. I will continue to put in the work, because it is worth it. Todays reality is a dream of the past and I plan to continue dreaming and building toward future aspirations. I’m excited about continuing to expand Refined Radiance, and because of all of you, it has been authentically growing in such a positive way.
